The Best Date Days
Updated: Jul 27, 2018
Recently I had a couple of cute date days with one of my favourite people. Its ridiculous to think that I’ve only known him for about 6 months but I feel like I’ve known him forever!
So after work Ross and I headed to Sainsbury’s (because we know how to live) to pick up some dinner. We decided to try to go super healthy and decided to have a stir-fry, but out of the corner of our eyes we saw there were steaks on special offer. So obviously we got the steaks and the veg and we grabbed some drinks while we were at it. I was in charge of cooing the stir-fry and obviously it turned out amazing while Ross was keeping an eye on the steaks. We then crack open our drink and some of the guys from work came and it was just a really chilled night in.
On Saturday we literally just watched movies all day, it was amazing. We went to see the Greatest Showman and it was incredible. It was everything that La La Land should have been but wasn’t. I am a huge fan of musicals such as Westside Story and Les Mis so to me La La land was a bit of a disappointment but The Greatest Showman defiantly made up for it. We then had an hours break to grab a drink and then we went to watch the new Jumanji movie. I loved the Robin Williams version so much that I was a little sceptical, but it was really good and with a tonne of laughs. It wasn’t on the same level as the Greatest Showman but it was still amazing.
After this movie marathon we went to the local chippy and then sat ourselves down to watch a couple of Marvel movies. I think I was one of the only people in the world who didn’t see Deadpool as soon as it came out, so Ross sat me down and we powered though that 1 and a half hour movie. The next movie on the agenda was Captain America Civil War. That 2 and half hour movie defeated the both of us. We had both seen it before and loved it but starting the movie at 11:00pm wasn’t the best idea.
For breakfast we had the best cheese on toast ever!! Between the toast and the cheese Ross put these little sausage bits in between and it was AMAZING! Ross then got me in to watching Riverdale on Netflix and that was so good too and I ended up finishing the first season that following week.
I think you can tell that we didn’t really do much but it was such a good weekend with such great company!
