I don’t know why but when people say ‘good girl’ to me it makes my toe nails curl an I hate it!
I’m not a girl, I’m 20 years old and that is classed as an adult, a young adult, maybe, an adult. So don’t class me as a child.
If I was a successful CEO of a huge corporation like AXA, for example, would you say ‘good girl’ to me? NO, in that case I’d be called a woman or a lady, so why is it different if I am ‘just’ a placement student?!
If you’re complementing a guy aged 20 you wouldn’t say ‘good boy’, you’d just say ‘well done’ or just ‘good’ so why is it different for women?
Sorry if this is a ranty but I needed to get this out there. I know that some guys do it to be indering but sometime it can just seem condescending.
Does anyone else feel this way? If so please let me know!
Just thought I'd add this cute pic of me as a kid to make this post slightly more light-hearted!
