I recently met up with one of my best friends from school and we got on to reminiscing over all the fun holidays we’ve spent together. One of my personal faves was when we went to Budapest last summer.
We literally booked it over FaceTime while we were both at our respective unis, it took about 40 mins and it was best and most spontaneous thing we’ve ever done. She booked the cheap flights and I booked the cheap accommodation. We Air B and B’ed it and it was great.
For the first couple of days we stayed in a flat which was about a 20 min walk from the centre of Pest, so on Day 1 we walked all around there and walk the most beautiful sight from the top of Pest.
Day 2: we traveled over to the Buda side and went on a Hop on and Hop off bus tour round the beautiful city. We also went on a bit of a night out to an amazing club but it did make Day 3 a bit of a right off, oops!
Day 4: we traveled by train to Keszthely which was an experience. The train only took us half way and then we had to get a bus replacement, however, we didn’t know this at the time and we had about 5 Hungarian people who didn’t speak English trying to explain this to us. Eventually we found our way there and it was defiantly worth the confusion!
We spent Days 5 and 6 explore more of what Keszthely had to offer and on day 7 we made our way back to the UK.
